Josh & Allison | Brookfield Wedding in June
Allison and I attended the same university, and while I didn't often have the opportunity to interact with her personally, I could see that she was a bubbly and joyful individual who spread smiles wherever she went. When I met with Josh and Allie for our consultation, I experienced first-hand how Allie's smile and laughter lightens everything and everyone around her. You could easily see that Josh complimented Allison well, as he is a thoughtful and methodical engineer, lending strong support to Allie by offering his ideas and helping to solve problems throughout the planning process. He even came up with a lovely surprise for his bride, as you'll see!
After meeting with both of them, I was struck with what a good team these two made, and came away encouraged. I found out at their wedding that I'm not the only one that feels that way after being around them. At their reception, their friends and loved ones shared more examples of what committed Christians Allison and Josh are, and how they show so much love and joy to all those who know them. Allie and Josh filled the day with many special details that made the day uniquely theirs. Allie had her Dad and Josh's ties each embroidered on the back with a meaningful message from herself. At the reception, in order to reflect Josh's engineering career, on every table was a bowl of Legos for the guests to build their own creation, as well as name cards in Lego blocks that color coordinated with the wedding. There was even a Lego Bride and Groom!
My favorite part of this wedding day was the sendoff! Josh had secretly planned to have a gorgeous white horse-drawn carriage to whisk Allie away from their reception, and he managed to keep it a complete surprise! Allie not only looked like an absolute princess, but she was treated like one too, by her very own Prince Charming. Well done, Josh!! After Allie and Josh's dreamy carriage ride, we wrapped up the day with some portraits of just the two of them at a beautiful park in Menomonee Falls before they headed off to their honeymoon. Mr. and Mrs. Spofford, I hope you both have a wonderful time in Alaska, and enjoy this sneak peek of your photos!
